フォルダを共有すると、そのフォルダに限り、中身が Google LLC の提供する Firebase(Cloud Firestore・Firebase Authentication・ Cloud Functions)へ保存されます。
- 匿名の利用者ID(アカウント登録は不要で、氏名やメールアドレスとは結び付きません)

Privacy Policy
The tasks, memos, folders and tags you write stay on your device. Tasmo has no account and no sign-in. Nothing you write is sent to the developer or to anyone else.
Folders you choose to share are the one exception. To deliver them to the people you share with, the contents of a shared folder are stored in the cloud (Google Firebase). Folders you do not share stay on your device, exactly as before. See section 2.
This policy explains how Masato Hayashi ("the developer") handles information in the iOS and Android app "Tasmo" ("the app").
1. Information kept only on your device
Everything you create in the app is stored only in a database (SQLite) on your device. It is never sent to any server, and the developer has no way to see or retrieve it.
- Task names and memo contents
- Folder names, tag names, colours and ordering
- Due dates, reminder settings and recurring task settings
- Deleted tasks (the contents of the trash)
- App preferences (theme colour, light/dark mode, language)
Deleting the app from your device deletes this information along with it. There is no backup feature, so please keep this in mind when changing devices.
Shared folders are the exception. Their contents are also stored in the cloud, so they remain there even if you delete the app. See section 2 and section 6 for how to remove them.
2. Shared folders
When you share a folder, that folder only is stored in Firebase (Cloud Firestore, Firebase Authentication and Cloud Functions), provided by Google LLC. The servers are located in Japan (asia-northeast1).
Sharing begins only when you tap "Share this folder". Until then, no network request and no sign-in happens, and the app works entirely on your device as before.
What is stored in the cloud
- The name of the shared folder
- Task names, memos, completion state, colours, due dates and ordering in that folder
- Names and colours of tags used by tasks in that folder
- Your display name (by default a randomly assigned pseudonym such as "Yellow Cat". You can change it)
- An anonymous user ID (no registration is required, and it is not linked to your name or email address)
What is never stored in the cloud
- Anything in folders you have not shared
- Reminder times — notifications are set on your own device and are never shared
- App preferences, sort settings and other on-screen state
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers or other contact details (the app never collects them)
Who can see it
Only the people you gave the access key to, and who actually joined, can see a shared folder. Nobody else can join. You can reissue the key at any time (the old key stops working immediately), and you can turn off joining altogether.
You can remove any member from the "Members" list in the sharing sheet. A removed person cannot rejoin even if they know the access key (you can undo this later).
3. Notifications
Reminders for tasks with a due date are local notifications scheduled on your device. Their contents never pass through any server.
Push notifications are used only if you use shared folders. When someone else adds or completes tasks in a folder you share, or joins it, we send a notification through Google's servers (Firebase Cloud Messaging). The notification contains the folder name, that person's display name and a count. Task contents and notes are never included.
To deliver these, we store a per-device notification identifier (token). It is used only for delivery and is not visible to other users. You can decline notifications or turn them off in your device settings; sharing still works.
4. Information collected by third parties
The app is free and supported by ads, and usage is measured to improve quality. These are provided by third parties, and the following information is collected by them.
| Service | Provider | Information collected | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Google LLC | Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address, device model, OS and language, records of ad impressions and interactions, crash logs and performance data | Serving and measuring ads, and improving how the ad system performs |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Google LLC | Number of launches and time spent, device model, OS and language, approximate location derived from IP address, app instance ID | Understanding usage and improving quality |
The contents of your tasks and memos are never sent to these services.
For how these providers handle information, please see:
5. Ads, and the choices you have
4.1 App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS, the app asks for permission before using the advertising identifier (IDFA). Every feature of the app works whether or not you allow it. If you decline, the ads you see will simply not be tailored to your interests.
You can change your answer later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
4.2 Ad consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
If you use the app from these regions, a consent form provided by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) is shown. You can change your answer at any time from Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy settings inside the app.
4.3 Turning off personalised ads
You can also disable ad personalisation from your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads
6. Deleting your information
Deleting the app from your device erases all information stored on it.
The contents of shared folders remain in the cloud even after you delete the app. To remove them, do one of the following before deleting:
- Leave the folder — tap "Leave this folder" in the sharing sheet. You leave that folder; the tasks stay on your device. When the last member leaves, the cloud copy is deleted.
- Delete tasks permanently — move them to the trash, then delete them permanently. Their contents are removed from the cloud as well (and from every member's trash).
Shared folders with no members, and shared folders unused for 90 days, are deleted automatically by the developer.
For information collected by third parties, reset or disable your advertising identifier as described in section 5, or contact those providers directly.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may change as laws change or as features are added to the app. When a significant change is made, the last updated date on this page will be revised and the change will be noted in the app's release notes.
